100 Tour de Ski stages

• The 10km classic style event in Val di Fiemme will be the 100th stage in the women's Tour de Ski. The first stage in the women's Tour de Ski was held on 31 December 2006, when Marit Bjørgen won a sprint freestyle event in Munich ahead of Arianna Follis and Chandra Crawford.

• The 50th Tour de Ski stage was held exactly seven years ago, on 3 January 2013. Justyna Kowalczyk claimed the victory in the 15km pursuit freestyle, ahead of Charlotte Kalla and Therese Johaug.

• Justyna Kowalczyk (14) has won most stages in the women's Tour de Ski, followed by Therese Johaug (13), Marit Bjørgen and Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (both 11).

• Both Justyna Kowalczyk and Therese Johaug finished on the podium in 28 of the previous 99 stages, more than any other female skier. Heidi Weng follows on 27.

• Norwegian skiers have claimed 43 stage wins, at least 29 more than any other country. Poland (14) and Sweden (11) follow in second and third place.

• Norwegian skiers have claimed 132 podiums spots in women's Tour de Ski stages. Finnish skiers follow on 36, including 10 wins.

• The oldest skier to finish on the podium of a Tour de Ski stage is Sabina Valbusa: 35 years and 342 days in the 10km pursuit freestyle in Nové Mesto na Morave on 29 December 2007 (2nd).

• The youngest skier to finish on the podium was Johaug: 19 years and 191 days in the 10km classic style in Nové Mesto na Morave on 2 January 2008 (3rd).

• Aino-Kaisa Saarinen (79) holds the women's record for most starts in Tour de Ski stages. Stefanie Böhler (76) and Johaug (71) follow in second and third place.

Ingvild Flugstad Østberg

• Ingvild Flugstad Østberg won the 10km pursuit (classic style) in Toblach on 1 January. The winner of the first pursuit stage managed to reach the overall Tour de Ski podium in all previous 13 editions. Nine of the 13 winners even went on to claim the overall title.

• The last winner of the first pursuit who failed to claim the overall Tour de Ski title was Flugstad Østberg herself in 2017/18 (winner Heidi Weng).

• Flugstad Østberg (11) is tied with Marit Bjørgen in third place in the all-time list for most stage wins in the women's Tour de Ski, behind Justyna Kowalczyk (14) and Therese Johaug (13).

• Østberg won five of the last eight stages in the Tour de Ski.

• The last seven distance events in the women's Tour de Ski have been won by either Flugstad Østberg (5) or Therese Johaug (2).

• Flugstad Østberg could become the third female skier to win four consecutive classic style stages in the Tour the Ski, after Virpi Kuitunen (January 2008 - January 2009) and Kowalczyk (January 2012 - January 2013).

• Flugstad Østberg could become the first women to win four 10km classic style stages in the Tour the Ski. She currently shares the record of three with Kowalczyk.

Therese Johaug

• Therese Johaug is the leader in the overall standings after four stages in the Tour de Ski. She claimed the overall title in 2013/14 and 2015/16.

• Johaug (13) could equal Justyna Kowalczyk (14) as the skier to have won most stages in the Tour de Ski. On the men's side, Petter Northug (13) has won most Tour de Ski stages.

• Johaug (13) could become the first skier to win more than 13 distance stages in the Tour de Ski (Kowalczyk also on 13).

• Johaug is tied with Kowalczyk on a record 28 podium finishes in women's Tour de Ski stages. Heidi Weng follows on 27 podium finishes.

• Johaug has won 16 of the last 18 individual distance races in the World Cup in which she participated, the only exceptions being the 10km classic on 23 March 2019 (2nd behind Stina Nilsson) and the 10km pursuit classic on 1 January 2020 (2nd behind Ingvild Flugstad Østberg).

• Johaug has claimed 13 podium finishes in individual distance World Cup events since the start of 2019, at least six more than any other female skier.

• Johaug has won nine individual World Cup events in Val di Fiemme, at least five more than any other female skier (followed by Heidi Weng and Virpi Kuitunen, 4).

Other contenders

• Norwegian skiers have won 13 of the last 14 distance events stages in the Tour de Ski, the only exception Natalia Nepryaeva's triumph in the 10km freestyle in Toblach on 30 December 2018.

• Nepryaeva is third in the overall standings after four stages. No Russian skier has won the women's Tour de Ski. Nepryaeva is the only Russian female skier to finish on the podium of the Tour de Ski, finishing second in 2018/19.

• Nepryaeva could become the first female Russian skier to win multiple Tour de Ski stages. Natalia Korosteleva (sprint freestyle in 2010) is the only other Russian woman to win a Tour de Ski stage.

• Nepryaeva finish second in last year's 10km classic style event in Val di Fiemme, behind Ingvild Flugstad Østberg.

• Only Justyna Kowalczyk and Therese Johaug (28 each) have claimed more podium finishes in women's Tour de Ski stages than Heidi Weng (27).

• Weng has won four stages in the Tour de Ski, most recently the 9km pursuit freestyle in Val di Fiemme on 7 January 2018.

• Only Therese Johaug (11) has claimed more podium spots in Tour de Ski stages in Val di Fiemme than Weng (8).

• Anamarija Lampic won the second stage in the 2019/20 Tour de Ski, the sprint freestyle in Lenzerheide. She finished seventh in the 10km pursuit classic style in Toblach on 31 December, her best result in an individual distance World Cup event.

• Ebba Andersson finished third in the 10km freestyle in Toblach on 31 December. It was her 12th podium finish in a World Cup race, but she has yet to win for the first time.

• Andersson (12) holds the record for most podium finishes in women's World Cup races (including Tour stages and overall Tour wins) without ever winning, alongside Celine Brun-Lie and Sadie Maubet Bjornsen (also 12).
